Mindfulness Dice

DICE SET
PROMO PIECE
WOOD LASERCUTTING, PRINT ON FABRIC
My promotional piece for my portfolio class was a set of 3 mindfulness dice. These dice are intended to help one ease their anxiety, or to be used to fidget with. These dice are inside of a linen bag with my logo printed on it, with an informational card inside.
PROCESS
I started by sketching out the circle face of each dice and writing what I wanted each dice to say. I chose to do one for decisiveness, affirmations, and actions. I thought that all three of these dice would work together nicely to help ease anxiety.
LASER CUTTING
I decided that laser cutting each of the faces would be most efficient, instead of print or stickers. I prepped the file in Illustrator and converted my handwriting into linework.
PROCESS
After the dice were cut, I dyed each of the 3 dice a different color. The affirmations dice are pink, actions are green, and desciveness is white.
INFO CARD
I included an informational card about how to use the mindfulness dice. On the front is an image of me as a kid in a bubble bath and I thought it would be perfect for this project because of my “pondering” look.
FINAL DESIGN
The complete final promo piece includes 3 dice, an infocard, and a cloth bag with my logo on it. The goal of this project was to show my support for mental health and to showcase the playfulness within my design work. Overall, I had a lot of fun with this project and I learned A LOT about laser cutting.
